Choosing the right hair extensions

We all want the Best hair extensions when we decide to take the plunge and dip our toe in to the wonderful world of hair. But how do you know that you are getting the best hair extensions at all? Once found, one has to decide type of hair extensions. Whether natural or synthetic having its advantages and dis-advantages.

The short answer to this is research. If you take the proper time to research to find exactly what you are looking for you should be able to rest assured that you will get the best you possibly can.

Firstly you must decide what your budget is? This will definitely dictate what type of hair you will go for. There is the option of 100% Human hair or synthetic hair. They both have their good points and bad points. Let’s start with the human hair, this hair is great because it is a real hair. This mean that it acts much more like your own hair and can be treated in a similar way. You can blow dry it, tong it and style it in pretty much the same way you do your hair. This means that the finished look you get will be perfect every time. You don’t have to worry about the hair melting as it would when compared to it’s synthetic counterpart. Again because it’s human hair it should blend perfectly with you own hair. Hopefully having a similar texture to your hair meaning that it should look and behave like your natural hair. If you look after your hair it should last nicely.

The slight down side for all this amaziness is 100% human hair. This can be a little bit more expensive and you can pay from hundreds going in to the thousands depending on what length etc you are going for.

A synthetic hair is more budget friendly option and can be good for short term or if you only want them for a short time. The problem is they quite often look synthetic and can have an unattractive unnatural shine that is a dead give away. You also can not style them in the same way you do for a 100% Human hair. If you try to tong, straighten or style them then the hair will almost certainly melt or burn, Not what you want when you are going on a night out or special occasion. Synthetic hair is also prone to tangling and getting knotty.

Really you need to decide how natural you want your hair to look as well as your budget. This will help you to make the right choice.
