Caring for your human hair

Whether you are buying a new one, or reusing an old hair, regular care will ensure your extensions last long and look healthy.

Separate your hair from the extension bonds daily. This should be the most important part of your routine. Once a day, separate each extension bond with your fingers to ensure they are sitting properly. This routine will prevent your bonds from tangling at the roots and make it easy to remove when you are ready to.  Separating your bonds everyday will prevent damage to your natural hair and prevent tangling. Even if do any other routine, this one routine is enough.

Brush your extensions with care. Whenever you find yourself about to brush your extensions, do it gently. Take your time to remove the tangles patiently without stressing both your hair and the extensions by tugging. Ensure you always have a spare hair extension brush so you are not tempted to use just any brush. Use human hair friendly hair bands from hair extensions London to protect your hair from pulling.

Never sleep with wet hair. Wet hair promotes tangling and matting so avoid sleeping with your hair wet or damp. Remember how difficult it will be when brushing your hair in the morning whenever you are tempted to crash with wet/damp hair. Leave enough time for drying whenever you decide to wash your hair. Protect the bonds and your hair cuticles by avoiding sleep ins with wet hair at all times.

Protect your extensions before going to bed. There are many ways to secure your hair extensions at night. You can either braid neatly to keep your extensions out of the way for long extensions. Secure in a ponytail for medium length extensions and also fold the ponytail into itself. A snag free hair bobble is also a pretty cool way to secure your hair. Use a satin pillow and scarf will also prevent matting and tangling.

Keep an appointment with your hairdresser. Keep an up to date maintenance with hair extensions London every 4-6 weeks to keep your hair looking healthy and stylish. A regular appointment with your hairdresser will keep your hair looking 100% on fleek.
